10. Withdraw money at any ATM!
Does your bank offer you a free transaction and withdrawal in foreign currency with your card ? It’s awesome! But beware, because, in the US, bank ATM apply their own cash fees, usually between $2 and $3.
In addition to your no-charge card, checking to see if your bank has a partnership with an US bank to completely cancel the withdrawal charges that I recall, are no fees charged by your bank.
Lastly, never withdraw money from a non-affiliated ATM in bars, clubs, cafes, as they have no agreement with any bank and sometimes charge even more per withdrawal.
