If you’re at all interested in the world of hair, you’ve undoubtedly heard the name Christophe Robin. This brand has made a name for itself, and today you’ll find rave reviews of its shampoos and hair care products everywhere.

Many products have become the talk of today’s blogosphere, and if you want to be on trend, you’ve got to use Christophe Robin products! But which ones to choose? Let’s take a look at the shampoos on offer to help you choose.

Who is Christophe Robin?

Before we start describing the brand’s iconic shampoos, let’s take a look at the man himself.

Originally an artisan colorist, Robin has been working for over 20 years with stars from all over the world, who regularly visit his Paris salon. Color and hair are his passion. And he’s turned this passion into an art. His credo? Color! But for color to shine, hair must be healthy and beautiful. So he created his own range of hair care products.

He drew his inspiration from ancient “recipes” composed mainly of natural extracts. Naturally, these products contain no harmful ingredients (silicone, parabens, etc.).

The colorist has developed a range of shampoos to suit every need. So you can embellish your hair with anti-fat, volume, fine, dry, curly, flat or color-treated “treatments”…

We won’t go into detail about each product – you probably don’t have time for that! So we’re going to focus on three shampoos that are a huge success and a favorite with influencers the world over.

Christophe Robin Paris shampoos

Regenerating shampoo with prickly pear oil

Let’s start with the label’s iconic shampoo: regenerating shampoo with prickly pear oil. Reading all the reviews on the net, this is THE shampoo to have.

Prickly pear oil is known to regenerate and repair skin and hair, and has strong antioxidant properties. It is frequently used to care for hair and scalp. This oil smoothes the fiber and adds shine and radiance. In short, this shampoo is a hair-repair balm.

But before we look at its effects on the hair, it’s worth pointing out that, although C. Robin products are intended to be made up of a majority of ingredients, they’re also designed to be gentle on the hair. Robin products are composed mainly of healthy ingredients, a closer look reveals that this shampoo contains Sodium Myreth Sulfate, which is particularly irritating.

This shampoo contains excellent ingredients such as guar bean, which smoothes frizz, and vitamin B5, which adds shine

As with all shampoos, apply to wet hair. Emulsify and rinse.

So what do you think? This shampoo regularly receives excellent reviews. Users love its gentleness. The results? A large majority of people appreciate the shine of deeply nourished hair. This makes it ideal for dry hair. However, the shampoo will be more effective if used in conjunction with the mask on very fine hair. Many users have not noticed any major changes in their hair. It’s also worth mentioning that the scent, though pleasant, remains strong.

Delicate rose volume shampoo

The main ingredient in this shampoo is rose hip oil. It has various properties: emollient, softening and antioxidant. Added to this is centifolia rose water, which is moisturizing and astringent. However, there are a few unwelcome ingredients, such as Acrylate Copolymers.

The shampoo is recommended for fine hair without volume. Users appreciate its gentleness. It lathers very little, but gives a certain volume if hair is short. On long hair, it is less effective (and much more expensive, even if you don’t need much shampoo to wash your hair!)

It’s ideal for normal hair (as it can make the hair fiber a little greasy). On dry hair, however, it will dry it out a little. In this case, you’ll need to top up your shampoo with a mask from the same range. This is the key to achieving the volume you’re looking for.

I should also mention the rose fragrance, which can be annoying (it lasts all day, but personally I love it!).

Moisturizing shampoo with aloe vera

This product has been designed to boost dull and particularly dehydrated hair, as well as the scalp. Aloe vera soothes the scalp. A plant-based amino acid deeply moisturizes hair. Linseed oil completes the shampoo’s composition, enhancing hair’s radiance.

This shampoo foams a lot, as it contains SLS. Results? Very different from one person to the next, in fact. For some people, the shampoo effectively moisturizes. For others, it has no effect at all. So it all depends on the nature of your hair. If it’s thick, the result won’t be what you expect. If your hair is fine and has no particular problems, the product will be more effective.

Conclusion

You now know more about Christophe Robin’s best-known shampoos. However, these elixirs are still expensive compared to the results they deliver. But you can still treat yourself to a Christophe Robin shampoo that won’t damage your hair and gives it a pleasant fragrance.
